Selection Process

Franciscan Outreach Volunteers begins accepting applications in October.  Applications will be accepted until openings are filled. Program positions begin in July and are for 1 year (renewable). Applications are thoroughly reviewed by staff, please note that applications will not be reviewed until complete.  We will then invite selected candidates to come to our Chicago office for an interview.  We will schedule Skype interviews with international and non-local candidates. Once you have been accepted into the program, we will require proof of a valid drivers license and passage of a background check. Franciscan Outreach Volunteers is a member program of Catholic Volunteer Network-AmeriCorps.  By applying for our program you are applying to participate as an AmeriCorps member to work in an AmeriCorps approved position.  Please note that participation in AmeriCorps is subject to funding and approval.
