Ownership Information...

·          The winner of the raffle will own the timeshare and can use it for one week every year (or half of the unit for two weeks). The winner can sell the timeshare or transfer it by will. 

·          The current market value, if bought new today, is estimated at $22,000. The purchase price in 1999 was approximately $12,000. Actual market value will vary.

·          The unit may be exchanged for another unit at other resorts through any of the major resort exchange companies.   This unit has “red’ status, which has maximum exchange value.

·          Yearly expenses for 2006 were $690 and have been paid. The new owner will be responsible for 2007 costs One bill from the management company covers all management fees, maintenance, taxes, and insurance. Maintenance includes upkeep, replacement, repairs, and cleaning of all timeshare equipment and furnishings.

·          Winner must pay $650 in transfer and title costs. Franciscan Outreach will assist with the transfer of title through a transfer company in Florida following the award. The winner receives a deed and title insurance.  Winner must notify the management company of the transfer.

·          All proceeds of this raffle will benefit the programs that serve the homeless at Franciscan Outreach Association. For program info visit www.franoutreach. org.

·          Tickets must be returned prior to November 9, 2006 or at Franciscan Outreach’s benefit dinner at The Chicago Firehouse restaurant on that date. The IRS has determined that the cost of raffle tickets are not deductible as a charitable contribution. Winner must be 21 years of age or older. Winner need not be present to win.
