Pooch Walk for the Homeless in Naperville... We're in the planning stages - can you help?

Volunteers Needed

for the

Pooch Walk for the Homeless

in Naperville

on

September 24, 2005

Join us at the Riverwalk and Grand Pavilion in Naperville on

Saturday, September 24, 2005 for a Pooch Walk for the Homeless.

Enjoy a day in the park with your pet and raise money for homeless

men and women who have nowhere else to turn!

The day will feature ...

Proceeds will benefit the homeless men and women whose lives are changed by the

people and programs at Franciscan Outreach Association. These include

            ~ a 250 bed year-round emergency overnight shelter

~ a soup kitchen that serves 135 persons every night

~ a case management program that helps guests find what

ever they need to build a better life. Case managers help

clients set  goals, establish priorities, find services, and

                overcome obstacles

Our services help street-based homeless and others stay alive in the short run while making their lives better for the long run. For more info on our programs, visit www.franoutreach.org.

We have several volunteers already, some of whom have organized this event for another organization in the past with great success, but….

we need 8 to 10 more adult volunteers

to start now to make the Pooch Walk for the Homeless a reality.

All meetings will be held in or near Naperville.

Without volunteers, this fun event won't happen!

To volunteer, call Diana Faust at Franciscan Outreach Association

at (773) 278-6724 or email her at diana@franoutreach.org

Together we can make a difference

for those who have nowhere else to turn!
