Pooch Walk for the Homeless 2007
was on Saturday, September 22, 2007 at beautiful Lake Katherine Nature Center in Palos Heights.
To view the 2007 photos, www.franoutreach.org/photoorders.htm Our thanks go out to Phil Marty for his fabulous photography skills. All proceeds benefit the programs for the homeless at Franciscan Outreach. If you'd like a reprint of a photo you purchased at the event, contact Carol directly.
What's a Pooch Walk?
It's a 1.5 mile walk around a scenic park with your dog that raises money to support our overnight shelter, soup kitchen, and case management services for the homeless. Even your dog can help the homeless! But you don't need a dog to participate. You can come without a dog, reserve an invisible dog leash, or even bring an inanimate object that resembles a dog! This is a great event for groups like families, youth groups, church groups, scouts, Small Christian Community Groups, doggie day care center teams, etc. We have prizes for reaching various pledge levels. We can send you an info packet for your group.

We're planning to have another Pooch Walk ion 2008. Does your workplace sponsor events such as this? Sponsorships make a HUGE impact on our ability to raise funds that will support our programs for the homeless. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information, contact Carol by email by using her first name plus @franoutreach.org or call her at (773) 278-6724. Thanks to our 2007 Pooch Walk sponsors...
