Sponsorship Opportunities

for Franciscan Outreach Association’s 25th Anniversary Dinner

on October 29, 2001 at the Union League Club

      The following items are available for sponsorship at Franciscan Outreach Association’s Fall Dinner. If you choose to sponsor an item, you would donate the cost of the item and be acknowledged by sign at the event expressing our gratitude for your sponsorship. We greatly appreciate sponsorships, since the money you donate helps us raise more resources for our programs.  Sponsorships are based on an attendance of 100 persons. Your sponsorship amount remains at the amount your select, even if our attendance increases. Sponsorship choices for this year are as follows:

     Dessert - buy everyone dessert!  Treat everyone to a Chocolate Mouse Timbale Glazed in Ganache, with Crème Anglaise Sauce, White Chocolate Sauce, and White Chocolate Leaves. The cost is $6.75 per person. You can sponsor this chocolate wonder for $675.

     Buy everyone a salad! This year the salad will be unique. We’ll be having “Bouquet of Greens with Seasonal Berries and Edible Flowers.” You can take the credit for only $575.

     Be a joint sponsor of the music!  Stephen Thomas and his fellow musicians have provided wonderful jazz accompaniment to our dinners. They provide their music at a very reduced price because they believe in helping the homeless. The sign acknowledging the sponsorship of the music would include a thank you to the musicians for donating part of the cost and to you for underwriting part of the cost. Your part of the joint sponsorship of the music would cost you only $300.  Not Available - Reserved by the San Damiano Secular Franciscan Fraternity 10-18-01

     Sponsor a silent auction prize! This year, for the first time, we are conducting a silent auction to raise more funds for our programs. We already have a few prizes that have been donated (the handmade quilt that we raffled two years ago and received back to raise more money, Bulls Tickets, and Blackhawks tickets). We’re looking for prizes that are of a good quality that might encourage guests to bid more than face value. Do you have any ideas?

     Sponsor the rental of the room - the famous Second Floor Lounge. The Second Floor Lounge has painting by famous artists, including Monet. This room provides a brilliant backdrop for our Fall Dinner. The charge from the Union League Club for renting the room is $400.

     Do you like good wine with dinner? They say that wine compliments the food (and may even make the company more lively!) At the Union League Club, wine is offered by waiters at the start of dinner and refreshed as needed. We’ll be offering a choice of Chardonnay or Cabernet. You can sponsor wine with dinner for $950.

     Sponsor the main course! The price of the main course is the largest single cost of the dinner. At our Spring Dinner, the Berghoff Restaurant sponsors part of the cost, which helps us to raise more funds at the Spring Dinner than at the Fall Dinner, even though the ticket price is less. With your help, we can increase the funds raised at the Fall Dinner. Sponsorship of the main course is available for $3,000.
